Muse Health: Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to remind ourselves and others that mental health is  matters. Muse Health believes in creating a supportive environment in which everyone’s well-being is prioritized. Let us break the stigma, promote understanding, and support self-care. We can work together to make the world a more accepting and nurturing place for mental health.

Mental health is an imperative facet of each person that can determine their overall health. However, many things prevent individuals from seeking the help they need.

AND, if people end up seeking help, they may not be able to get the help they need because of cultural, gender, and other differences that may exist between patients and professionals.

The American Psychiatric Association created guides to help mental health practitioners better help their patients. The resources help elaborate on potential biological, evaluation, diagnosis, and historical issues that could be affecting your patients, along with best practices.
