How AI is shaping a more human-centered health experience

At Muse Health® , we see AI as more than just a technology shift. It is a chance to reimagine how healthcare works for people. We take an aggressive yet thoughtful approach to identifying use cases and investments tied to AI, always starting with the question of how this can improve care and access for members. That means looking at the full picture: the primary benefits of cost savings and efficiency, the secondary effects on providers and payers, and the tertiary impacts on communities that are often overlooked. By considering this broader landscape, we design solutions that not only reduce costs but also expand opportunities where resources have been limited. AI becomes a way to extend support into under-resourced areas, create new pathways for preventative care, and strengthen trust between organizations and the people they serve. For us, the promise of AI is not in replacing the human element but in amplifying it. By aligning technology with cultural needs, human connection, and long-term sustainability, every innovation we bring forward helps build a future where care is more accessible, equitable, and effective for everyone.

The Impact of GEN AI on people, stakeholders, and the community

What are the community-wide implications of Gen AI? As changes are being made at a functional level to make Gen AI enablement possible, Muse Health® ensures that communities that have not traditionally been contemplated in strategies aren’t further left out of long-term planning. Leaving these communities out could further accelerate the existing gaps caused by algorithmic bias. Conversely, preparing for this inclusion more broadly could fundamentally improve outcomes across the enterprise and in the community.

People should be the center of all Innovation

Our Experts

At Muse Health® , we put people first. Our tools help members get clear answers about their benefits and care, connecting them to the right resources in a personalized, context-aware way. When people feel informed and supported, they engage more, stay healthier, and lower costs.

The influence of AI in the healthplace

Muse Health® and our partners believe that Gen AI has the potential to address the inequitable access to care that has historically impeded Black Americans from leading healthy, long lives. Twenty-six percent of Black Americans do not have a stable healthcare provider. According to a 2021 study from the University of Southern California, half of the 15 million Americans who live in pharmacy deserts are Black or Latino. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, Black patients fared worse than White patients across 75 percent of health measures (including life expectancy, chronic diseases, cancer incidence, and mortality). Gen AI may offer an intervention in some of these scenarios.
